Author Tips
What is this?
This isn’t a guide on how to write. I’m not patronising in that way. This page exists solely to allow the author to get the most out of fadtastic’s styles. Read on for examples of how to make your articles nice and sheeny! I don’t mean to patronise you designers out there. If I do, then I am sorry.
XHTML
Most of the cool extras available in fadtastic posts require you to switch into HTML mode when writing your post. To do this, simply hit the
button on the WYSIWIG editor. View the source of this page or contact me to see how these examples are done. (It is ironic that WordPress changes my code if placed inside a textarea for you to copy.) ;)
Headers
Or ’sub-headers’ rather. If you require a sub-header in your article, simply use a h2 tag. We do not currently have any more support for headers within a post.
Pull Quotes
An example:
Nam lacinia. Aliquam ac arcu. Nunc orci est, gravida quis, sodales eu, euismod non, velit. Nulla tincidunt eros nec lectus. Nunc nunc est, condimentum ut, volutpat sodales, tincidunt quis, leo. Morbi blandit pharetra urna. Suspendisse potenti. Nam augue. Phasellus blandit lacinia augue. Quisque venenatis ullamcorper arcu. Integer at magna. Cum sociis natoque penatibus et magnis dis parturient montes, nascetur ridiculus mus. Nullam justo nibh, sodales et, elementum eu, consectetuer dictum, nisl. Sed vehicula. Sed in massa tristique massa lobortis vulputate. Praesent eros diam, vulputate ut, bibendum id, euismod a, nibh.
The Rest
Many of the usual html tags are styled. Please alert me if there are any problems with your posts’ styling. Why not try blockquote, img (via the image uploader), a, ul, ol, strong, em or more regular html tags?
Watch This Space
There will be more to come in this section once more styles are added to fadtastic. Hopefully I will soon provide an example html file for how to achieve these effects.
