Flash intros are too complicated. You want the users to go straight to the point. Animated gifs are the key. Dancing Jesus is even better. Nothing sells more for the buck than religion.

… you forgot about text colors and font sizes. Thay are 2008 web hit! At least 5 different font sizes and color should be used in a single paragraph… and if some word like "free" or "bonus" or "viag…" is realy important word, it should be styled like : font-size:56px, color:red!veryimportant.
