April Fools’ Day or not, I actually think about this sort of thing whenever I’m selected colors. #696969 and #666 are two that continually make me question whether I should be a little more serious ;)

Ha. I don’t really make an effort to avoid using them. I can only name one individual who pointed out that they preferred that I used a different color code rather than #666. No one else has every looked at the css file thoroughly enough to take notice.
