					<description>I'm sure there are plenty of sites out there that try to use sex to sell non-sexy products. However I would be willing to bet that the thinking behind putting attractive people on the web is a little deeper. 
There are plenty of services and products that do not have a usable, tangible visual...financial services, hosting, consulting, etc. But especially in the service industry, a smiling face and a friendly appearance, that creates a personal and emotional connection to the visual, is important. Thus we get smiling faces on websites. 
Now, who wants to put an ugly person on the home page of their site? Sorry I don't mean to offend, but by default we are going to pick pictures of at least moderately attractive people. Plus most of the stock photography out there is of attractive models anyway.</description>
