The past few weeks have yielded some pretty nice design resources. Here’s a roundup:

Very Simple CSS Tricks:  some simple, and functional bits of markup to help make your project run more smoothly. I like the idea - much akin to Slim, which I love.

CSS Float Tutorial Roundup:  If you’re like me, the float element in CSS is your bane. This helps alleviate the pain, honest.

The web 2.0 awards: Inspiration and whatnot. If you ever get the feeling like you can never compete with the “big guys” in terms of web dev, consider this: less than 1% of the listed apps/companies there were in business just three years ago.

Lightbox JS v2.0: Lightbox and the new-school approach to javascript couldn’t impress me more than right now. This is about to be industry standard type stuff.

A guide to CSS support in email: print it. put it on your bulletin board on your wall. If you don’t have a bulletin board, get a nail gun and nail it to your wall. Or tattoo it on your chest. Just do something, anything, to make sure you keep this in quick reference.

Forms, Contracts, Approval Sheets, etc: All the boring bits of freelancing, done up for you.

Simply the best intro to Rails I’ve come across yet: And this is after reading a couple books on the subject. If you’re looking for an excuse to get into RoR, this is it.

Anonymity and Online Community: Identity Matters: A List Apart strikes again, with a thought provoking (and well illustrated!) article on the new web and knowing your userbase.

View Source Chart: Pretty nifty lookin’ firefox extension. This is worth checking out.

Type Navigator: I can’t say enough nice things about this app; visually select your fonts just from the image of what sort of idea you’re going for. Couldn’t be easier.

Well, that’s all for this installment. Did I miss anything terribly critical?
